"It takes a village to raise a child"

This proverb has been attributed to African culture. When I read this, I hear it takes an entire community of people for positive growth and for the future. Alone we may survive life, but in community we experience love, growth and healing.

What is community? Where do we find it, how do you know you’ve found it, and what’s the experience of community life?

Community can be simply defined as a group of people… but really when we explore further community is also defined by the experience of fellowship. It’s a group of people who’s committed to shared interest and/or values.

In the last 6 months, Love Camp founder has been healing different areas of her life within different communities: from women’s and spiritual communities to changing work environments and teammates. The common thread was that community is at the core of transformation. The connection and communications between soulful and spirited people becomes an access to clarity and creating a new way of living and being.

There’s a long time Harvard Study that goes back to 1938 and has followed the life of over 700 men of all economic and social backgrounds that discovered a strong correlation between happiness and close relationships and social circles.

We can discover how community shows up in our lives by asking ourselves: Are we in fellowship with the community that supports growth where we are NOW in life? We get to continue to explore manifesting community in the upcoming event for Manifesting Your Love Life as a God-Loving Single Coparent happening Wednesday February 9th.
